A 12.5 x 10.5" pen and ink by Mary Marquiss, “Love is a Verb” is framed in a gold edged white mat and gold frame and is ready to hang. 

Inspired by the illuminated lettering found in ancient text, Marquiss created the phrase 'love is a verb" using pen and ink as a daily reminder that love is active. English has just one word for love, however, the Greek language has four types:

1. Eros: Physical, passionate love

2. Philia: Love and affection for a good friend

3. Storge: Family love; the love of a parent for a child

4. Agape love: Love of God for humans, as well as the human reciprocal love for God. This is an unconditional love, like grace, and is full of forgiveness.
