My friend Kelley Salber captured this unusually colored sky over the Cascades once and when I saw the photo, I had to paint it. Truly, the sky rarely gets that salmon pink color to it, so when it happens, it needs to be commemorated. Of course, I took liberties with the foreground of the painting!
