'Illumination' presents one of the oldest living trees on earth! Other still living Bristlecone Pines discovered in this area of the White Mountains of California, have been dated at well over 4,000 years of age. “As I walked through the groves of Bristlecones, I tried to imagine what was happening on earth 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000 years ago. Oh, the stories these trees could tell. The dramatic light in 'Illumination' was provided just before sunset, on a warm August evening.”—Bruce Jackson
