Colorful artwork by over 20 local artists glows on the walls of Tumalo Art Co. , an artist-run gallery in the Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon. From Vicki Shuck’s rodeo oil paintings to Paul Alan Bennett’s contemporary Van Gogh-like gouaches in his signature “knitting” technique, to Ingrid Lustig’s contemporary wolf and bear phoenix, this show summarizes the magic of Oregon’s high desert. Also see Nancy Becker’s hand-blown glass and Danae Bennett-Millers bronze and glass sculptures of animal forms, to name just a few artists whose stunning art is showing.

“Celebrating Central Oregon Color” opens during the First Friday Gallery Walk Feb. 1 from 5-9pm and runs all month. Tumalo Art Co. is open 10am-8pm Monday thru Saturday and from 11am-6pm on Sunday. Call 541-385-9144 for more information.
