This stunning piece from Dorothy Freudenberg's digital combining process is a picture within a picture suggesting the trees in our Central Oregon high desert, our love of them and the dream of having water to sustain the land. The feel of vast spaces and mesas, stars and moon radiating overhead are reminiscent of the Southwest.

The background was originally a machine gouged scratch on metal down by the bridge at Farewell Bend Park, one of the places Dorothy has walks almost daily. With imagination, it becomes a much larger world that our minds can escape into.
