25.5 x 37 open edition photograph on metal, framed. "Over a period of recent time, I began walking along the river on an almost daily basis. My photography took a turn into minimalism, a part of practicing mindfulness. Photographing during this time, I ventured into simple photography and simple presentation rather than the highly layered structured manner in which I had been working, as this approach befitted the subject and the mode I was trying to convey. Along with cattails, the grasses along the riverbank are an ongoing source of lyric inspiration. In this piece, I almost feel as though I am witnessing a tango at ground level. Now with the advent of warmer weather, I am at it again, witnessing the simplistic elegance that is present all around us."
