Dorothy Freudenberg has been walking the river path at the Old Mill for several years, now. and her camera is her diary of the daily joys she sees and experiences. This portrait of a dramatic sage branch and the ubiquitous rabbit brush with its bright yellows captures one of those moments…the ones as the seasons shift from one to another, where the scenery gets more dramatic and intense than in the in-season moments. This might have been just a small shrub, but being able to feature it in bright, gold patterns brings the focus to a small moment that might have otherwise escaped our attention.
