This dog’s head is one my friend collected and let me borrow; I wanted not only to paint its bone structure, along with a special antique urn of my mother’s, but also have this painting commemorate all the dogs in my life that I have loved and treasured. I wanted this to be a painting of homage to all dogs everywhere.”
