Helen Brown‘s painting Vestiges of Mt. Mazama was accepted into the Watercolor Society of Oregon‘s Spring show juried by Vera Dickerson. Crater Lake was formed when Mt. Mazama erupted over 7,000 years ago. 80 paintings from around the state will be on display at the Barber Library Gallery in the Rotunda at COCC from April 14 to the end of May. The opening reception is April 14 at 4pm and is followed by two days of breakout sessions, critiques and a banquet at the Riverhouse Convention Center in Bend.

Anne Gibson‘s Spring on the Deschutes was juried into the Linus Pauling Gallery’s Primavera: A Celebration of Spring at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon, April 2 – June 4. The public is invited to an artists reception Friday, April 14, from 6 to 7:30 pm. The group show includes art about springtime with themes focusing on renewal, growth, color, renaissance, birth, and return.
