In this very poignant piece, Dorothy, who has literally photographed thousands of Sunflowers, came upon a gorgeous late-season stand of them on one of her morning walks last fall. The colors behind them were perfectly able to set off the fading off their fading glory. They, like us, have seasons and like them, even as we move into later chapters, we form the seeds of our deeds and the contributions that we made. Our fading is ultimately glorious and has the potential to contain so much beautiful dignity.
