May Group Exhibit—”Bloom” celebrates the many ways we unfold

May 1 at 3:00 pm - June 1 at 7:00 pm

“This piece rests in the calm of a gentle, watchful ease — a balance held without effort.
A stillness that feels quietly aware, a presence that steadies the air.
Cranes symbolize longevity, peace, fidelity, wisdom, transformation, and spiritual connection
across many cultures and so seems a good fit for this group theme Bloom.” —Adell

Our May Group Exhibit, Bloom, moves past the garden gate to celebrate the many ways we unfold.
The show opens May 1, from 3-7pm during the Old Mill District First Friday Gallery Walk.

Deep Forest Wake-Up, David Kinker

Beyond the petal and the vine, “blooming” is a state of being. A courageous, quiet riot of becoming
exactly who and what we were meant to be. From the Spring forest floor,
to the flowers left by little hands at your door on May Day.

Wallflowers in Bloom, Dee McBrien-Lee

Wallflowers in Bloom is part of Dee McBrien-Lee’s ongoing series abstracting figures.
The title of this painting expresses the feeling of the overlooked woman coming into her own.

Foxgloves, Helen Brown

The works gathered in the show from our group of artists, in all media, and expressions of the theme,
and sizes from small to large, capture those fleeting, beautiful seconds of transition,
exploring the gentle
strength it takes to open up after a long winter. Both metaphorically and physically.

Human in Bloom, Katherine Taylor

“Human In Bloom is my visual interpretation of a how a person can bloom from within.
The vibrational concentric energy circles can almost be seen at times when the phenomenon is strong.
And what causes humans to bloom? Anything that makes a person fall more in love…
with another, with themselves, and/or with existence at large.
Humans can be seen at these times to open like flower petals.”  —Katherine

A Garden Runs Through It, Shelli Walters

Spring Buds, Danica Thomas
