This 30 x 30” acrylic painting on cradled birch board with 1.5” deep natural wood sides. “Listen” is ready to hang.

One of my favorite lakes in the high Cascades is Little Lava Lake. It is also the headwaters of the Deschutes River. An altogether magical place. Camping here I’m able to be out at all times of the day, morning through evening. This particular evening, in overcast light all was still, the water was smooth as glass deep and dark, the forest moody. Brightness comes from different vegetation along the shores.
