"Dusk Clouds" was a quick study from a plein aire venture last fall when my goal was to capture the fading light as quickly as possible. With moving clouds and dipping sun, not an easy task. I set myself up for a short study of the same painting in my studio, keeping it timed to the same as if I was there: fast and loose!
