Description

9 x 12 " oil on panel, this comes in an attractive, dark espresso wood frame. The frame has a 3 inch profile that really sets off the piece; framed size is 15 x 18 inches.

This plein aire study was done in Central Oregon on a sunny day when windswept clouds moved fast. I was challenged to capture the rays of sun falling on an interesting cloud configuration, while paying attention to the inner glow created between two clouds. It was a cold day, so I painted this very alla prima (fast!).
