Arriving Here and There — Sarah B Hansen
Out of stock
36 x 48 mixed media of watercolor, gouache, and wax medium on cradled birch panel, this painting wraps around 2″ edges and needs no frame. “After reading a book about Grandma Gatewood and her history of hiking the Appalachian Trail, I was inspired to create a piece of artwork with her in mind. During her lifetime, she hiked the Oregon Trail and would have passed this scene, at the Columbia River Gorge. Words within painting: “I was thinking thoughts that fit me. Walking through the forest, raindrops dropping on me from the trees. I found myself arriving here and there. And always, everywhere, I knew, was the right place for me.” ~Excerpt from I Wander Where I Wander, by P. Saarikoski.
