Right now in our personal and collective history, we seem to be looking for new meaning. Being confined in many ways has led to introspection and thoughts about how we might want to move in new directions. What are the things we really value and what connections enhance our well-being?

As a person who works in metaphors, rather than trying to represent a specific reality, this fluidly moving piece hints at the metaphor of new directions. Those movements are often accompanied by a change of direction. That's the suggestion of this piece, which was created out of different images photographed at the Chinese Garden in Portland, with even a little of Hosmer thrown in.
